Dear Friends,
There are times all of us become disheartened and disillusioned with people. In the last week several remarkable things happened. The company that restored our defaced Lithos Jewelry monument told us they didn’t want a payment for the work. My dentist did a filling at no charge. The butcher in Ohio sent a package of his beef jerky for free to our son-in-law in Afghanistan. A client in Africa wrote to inquire about the health of our daughter. Finally, many of you have written glowing comments about our work and services on Google. It is inspiring and uplifting to know that people do care and give, expecting nothing in return.

People do not realize that most gemstones come in every predominant color. This necklace is a beautiful example of the range of colors found in the gemstone, tourmaline. The necklace also shows the rondelle shape of the gemstones. The rondelles can also be faceted to produce a scintillating effect. This cutting technique is usually done on transparent stones.
If one wears their pearls often, they should be re-strung more frequently. Pearls are knotted with silk thread. It is strong and resilient, but the weight of the pearls will stretch the thread. As the thread stretches, the strand becomes longer. The re-stringing of pearls can be a complicated process. First, the pearl are carefully cleaned. As the drill hole will vary with the size of the pearl, we give careful attention to the size of needle and thread that we use. Of course, we’ll add that our clasp system is an important addition to the versatility of having pearls.
