DearFriends,
The holidays are here. There is always chaos and stress with the preparedness. This, though, is quickly displaced with the love, sharing, giving and family that are the EVENT. Our hope is that this joy that comes will fill your life and give it meaning.

Did You Know?
>Diamond is the only gemstone to occur in all eleven-color families: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink and brown, gray, black and white? Of 100,000 cut carats of diamond, less than 10,000 carats will be white and of these less than 1,000 carats will be saturated enough to be called fancy color.
White diamond is basically pure carbon. The addition of boron atoms to the carbon produces blue diamonds, nitrogen atoms the yellow. It is believed that defectsin the atom’s lattice structures produce red, pink, orange and green diamonds. Sulfides give the black diamonds their color.
Several famous natural color fancy diamonds include the Agra Pink, The Yellow Eureka, The Blue Hope and The Dresden Green.
The most expensive diamond sold, per carat, was a purplish red weighing 0.95 cts from an estate in Billings, MT. Of the over 90 million carats produced a year; probably none will be this color.
It is important to note that not all colored diamonds are of natural origin. William Crookes in 1905 irradiated diamonds to alter their color. They were however, radioactive. J.M Cork used the cyclotron in 1945 and produced colored diamonds that were not radioactive.
December 7th we showcase a rare collection of natural color, fancy diamond jewelry by Uneek Fine Jewelry. Please come and bring a friend. What can be better than the brilliance and hardness of a diamond captured in color?
