Lithos Jewelry

Volume 1 Issue 16
October 1, 2008

Dear Friends,

A few weeks ago we actualized a dream. We dove in the Red Sea. Our British friends assured us we’d be safe and that not having the experience at all would be worse than any possibility of something happening. They were correct. It is true that the visibility is over 100’. With this clarity of water and vibrant sun above the soft and hard corals dazzle with their varied, vibrant colors. We passed lion fish sunning on 20’ gorgonian sea fans, watched clown fish hide and play with domino damsels, witnessed groupers naturally feed. The ocean is a field of colored gems.

Clasp

The featured clasp is 18K yellow and white gold with a pave diamond disc. It is shown on an 18K white gold chain.

There is a difference between hallmarks and makers marks or trademarks. A hallmark is a symbol indicating the metal content of a piece of jewelry. This procedure developed in 13th century England. The mark is a guarantee of metal content. Examples of hallmarks include 14K, 18K, PLAT or 750. A makers mark or trademark is a symbol, signature or initials indicating the maker of a piece of jewelry. This symbol is a guarantee of the quality and metal content of the piece of jewelry. It enables a consumer to trace the origin of the piece of jewelry. A serious jewelry designer or manufacturer will have a trademark obtained through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The registered trademark for Lithos Jewelry is LJ in a diamond shape.

Thank you again for your patronage and friendship. We appreciate all of you.

With love,
Lornie and Rose
