The airport at Manihi

After three years of  lobbying and planning this journey, it was very exciting to finally arrive.  It is a simple and beautiful place.  How  strange to be where a phone system will not handle e-mail.  There are only three cars on the atoll.  There is no TV.  It is a very remote.  The local bar is the communal gathering and social center.
